Subject: Recommended Distance between speed humps/tables

Ron - 1/15/2009 12:29:25 PM what is the recommended distance between speed humps/tables. the street I am looking at installing them on is 24' wide, 1600 feet long, has a posted speed limit of 25 mph. On street parking is permitted on one side of the street only and 85th-percentile speed is 32 mph. Any information would be appreciated.
Craig Timothy, - 4/14/2009 10:43:27 AM Ron Institute of Traffic Engineers recommended distance between 300' to 600'. We have found 400' to be the best. Althought this distance can vary depending on the street scape i.e. fire hydrants, driveways etc.
